What brought me to Omaha:
My husband and I are both from the Midwest. We have moved several times in the last 20 years, all over the US. We recently relocated back to the Midwest because it is truly the only place that feels like home. We landed in Omaha for my husband's job. We love Omaha and have settled down here to finish raising our 3 daughters.
Why do I love fitness:
I love fitness because it is a way of life. It's competition, it's taking risks and pushing yourself, it's health and longevity, and it's sport and play. You can do it in community while making it personal/individual. Moving your body and being strong is a privilege and a gift that we enjoy and share with others.
Why coach at Nerve:
I coach because I love people and I enjoy sharing what I love! I have such a desire to see people thrive physically by moving well and feeling good in their bodies. I'm a teacher by nature and knew that's what I wanted to be when I was seven! After I graduated from high school, I got my college degree in Elementary Education. I never dreamed of teaching adults. But it turns out that when they are doing something fun like fitness, they are not much different than just big kids! We have so much fun getting fit here at Nerve, and I adore the people I get to rub shoulders with every day at the gym.
Two fun facts about me:
I played college basketball my freshman and sophomore years.
My dad is 100% Irish, so that basically makes me a leprechaun.
